My Khe
My Khe is Da Nang's main urban beach zone. Its strength is that it is built into the city: housing, cafés, fitness, and transport are nearby. It works well for daily swims, morning runs, and living without a separate beach transfer.
Non Nuoc
South of the centre, the coastline becomes quieter and more resort-oriented. Non Nuoc combines naturally with Marble Mountains and southern areas but is less convenient for city life without transport.
North and Son Tra
Closer to the Son Tra Peninsula you find less urbanised stretches and smaller bays. Some require a separate trip and can depend on road conditions, weather, or access restrictions.
When to swim
Do not apply Phu Quoc or Nha Trang seasonality to Da Nang. Central Vietnam has its own weather pattern, and the sea can become significantly rougher in parts of the year. Use beach flags, wind, and actual sea conditions on the day.
Choosing a beach for daily life
| Scenario | Look first at |
|---|---|
| Walk to the sea every day | My Khe and adjacent stretches |
| Quiet and resort-oriented | Non Nuoc |
| Nature and short trips | Son Tra and the north |
| Remote work for months | Choose the neighbourhood first, not the beach name |
