Front Beach and the city
Start by the bay at Bãi Trước and walk the promenade. It shows the city’s connection to the sea and makes a good evening return point. Do not assume this is the main swimming stop; assess Bãi Sau and the current water conditions separately.
Christ the King and the southern tip
A large Christ statue stands on the southern hill above the peninsula. Reaching it involves many steps, and access rules can change. Wear suitable shoes, carry water and respect clothing requirements: this is a religious place as well as a viewpoint.
Vung Tau Lighthouse
The lighthouse stands above town and offers a different view of the coast. The winding approach is best treated as a short separate ride or a prepared walk. Check local access restrictions; do not assume entry inside the lighthouse itself. Watch traffic on the way down.
White Palace and Back Beach
White Palace (Bạch Dinh) adds a different chapter of city history near the peninsula’s northern side. Finish with the long strand of Bãi Sau. With a second day, give the beach a separate morning rather than rushing all the stops; wind and waves decide how pleasant it is.
A simple day plan
- Do hill climbs in the morning and carry water.
- Check monument access, sea conditions and local notices before setting out.
- Save each map pin before moving between hills and beaches.
