Vietnam's Authority for Economic and Investment Construction Management under the Ministry of Construction has told Project Management Board 85 and contractors to speed up work and bring the Tan Hiep interchange into operation in October.

The authority ordered the completion of the remaining work at the Tan Hiep, San Bay and Long Thanh interchanges, along with the rapid preparation of as-built documentation, acceptance procedures and a report to the State Inspection Council. These steps are intended to make the interchange ready to operate in October.

Project Management Board 85 was also told to coordinate with the Vietnam Road Administration, the traffic police, VEC, ACV and local authorities on traffic diversion and the organization of vehicle movements between the expressways, with the aim of keeping traffic safe and smooth.

The order followed a site inspection by Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc of Long Thanh Airport and its connecting transport network.

The Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway opened along its full route on October 1. However, the final section in Dong Nai Province, running from the interchange with National Highway 51 to the connection with the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, remains closed. The section is more than 900 meters long, and the Tan Hiep interchange is not yet ready for operation.
