The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,644 VND per US dollar on October 29. The rate was 13 VND higher than in the previous session.
With the trading band at ±5%, the ceiling rate for commercial banks stood at 26,926 VND per US dollar, while the floor rate was 24,352 VND.
Opening exchange rates at major commercial banks also increased.
At 8:05 am, Vietcombank listed buying and selling rates of 25,660 VND and 26,040 VND per US dollar. Both rates were 20 VND higher than in the October 28 session.
BIDV raised both rates by 5 VND, listing a buying rate of 25,650 VND and a selling rate of 26,030 VND.
