The National Technology Innovation Fund (NATIF) is accepting applications for interest compensation under the second stage of its 2026 program. The program is intended for companies investing in the application, transfer and renewal of technology, as well as innovation.

The support covers 50% of the interest rate stated in the credit agreement between a company and a lender, up to 6% a year. Support is calculated from the fund's approval until the company fully repays the debt, for a maximum of five years.

Eligible applicants are legal entities carrying out a project or investment plan covered by the program and borrowing from a credit institution authorized to operate in Vietnam.

The loan may finance investment and technology innovation activities allowed under the rules, including the purchase of machinery, equipment and production lines.

To be considered, a company must demonstrate that it can implement the project and has sufficient financial resources, personnel and facilities. It must also meet reporting requirements, provide documents and comply with the fund's inspections and supervision.

The assessment considers the project's feasibility, its potential for direct application and its economic impact or contribution to solving social problems. Projects must help improve productivity and quality, strengthen competitiveness and protect the environment.

Priority will go to projects using technologies on the recommended technology-transfer list, high technologies prioritized for development, or strategic technologies.

Small and medium-sized enterprises, technology innovation projects related to strategic technologies and projects capable of increasing added value by at least 7% are also priority groups.

Applications that meet the requirements will be assessed in the order they are received until the available funding is used up.

Applications are accepted until midnight on November 16. Companies can submit them online with a digital signature at oms.natif.vn or send paper documents to the fund's office.
