On November 4, the Tay Ninh transport infrastructure project management board said the Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 section in the province is 6.84 km long and runs through Ben Luc. The construction scope covers 6.37 km of road.
The project has a total investment of more than VND4.2 trillion. Component project 7, which covers road construction, has an investment of VND3.04 trillion. Component project 8, covering compensation, support and resettlement, has an investment of VND1.168 trillion.

The completed value of component project 7 has reached about VND1,850.8 billion, or 87.24%. The four main construction packages have reached about 96.04%.
The package covering the final interchange, the Ring Road 3 cross-overpass and the turnaround bridge on the parallel road has been completed. Several connecting branches have also received asphalt surfacing. Some branches connecting to the Ben Luc, Long Thanh Expressway have been handed over to the operator for temporary traffic.
For the package covering Tan Buu Bridge and the parallel roads, most bridge structures, road surfaces and works at the DT830C and DT830D interchanges have been completed. Remaining work includes bridge-deck drainage, expansion joints and widening the parallel road.
The additional package at the final interchange is more than 77% complete. The remaining work focuses on finishing the road surface, curbs and several tasks on Branch L.

Under component project 8, the contractor has received 100% of the site after land clearance. The resettlement area in Tan Buu Commune has also been completed, and plots have been handed over to households.
The project management board said Tay Ninh is broadly meeting the plan and milestones required under National Assembly Resolution No. 57/2022/QH15.
Despite the high completion rate of the construction works, the intelligent transport system, or ITS, remains stalled. According to the report, Ho Chi Minh City is responsible for managing and operating the system, but it has not yet started building the two control centers needed for an integrated connection.
As a result, the ITS facilities on the Tay Ninh side cannot yet be deployed as one system. The project management board has asked Ho Chi Minh City to accelerate construction of the control centers so the system can be connected.
Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 is about 76.34 km long and passes through Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Binh Duong and the former Long An province, now part of Tay Ninh. The entire route has a total investment of VND75.378 trillion.
Once completed, the road is expected to improve transport links between Ho Chi Minh City and surrounding areas, reduce pressure on existing routes and support socio-economic development.
