Tay Ninh identifies digital transformation as a way to improve management efficiency, the business environment and growth. The province is developing the digital economy and digital society and expanding technology use in businesses and daily life.

The province is carrying out statistical work to measure the digital economy's contribution and is promoting technology use in government agencies, businesses and the community.

Targeting a larger digital economy

A representative of Tay Ninh's Department of Science and Technology told Dân trí that the province approved digital economy and digital society plans for 2026–2030 and set specific tasks for 2026.

On June 10, the provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 2596/KH-UBND on raising the digital economy's share of GRDP for 2026–2030 and 2026. On July 14, it issued Plan No. 3312/KH-UBND on digital economy and digital society development for 2026–2030.

The digital economy is expected to contribute about 12% of Tay Ninh's GRDP in 2026. On July 2, the province issued Decision No. 11743/QĐ-UBND on surveying and compiling digital economy statistics for 2026–2030.

The work covers technology use in businesses, online transactions and services. The province is also promoting digital payments, electronic invoices and online sales channels.

Digital government results

The dedicated data network connects all departments, agencies and commune-level People's Committees. 5G coverage reaches 91% of the population. Digitized applications and electronic results account for 99.36%, and Tay Ninh ranked second nationwide for service quality on the National Public Service Portal at the time of the report.

Tây Ninh Smart, the Intelligent Operations Center and the 1022 hotline processed 1,776 field reports in the first six months of the year. The province issued more than 50,000 electronic signatures, while cashless payments in education reached 99.5%.

More than 1,500 community digital technology groups help residents use online public services, digital payments and internet services. Classes on the Digital Popular Education platform attracted more than 8,800 learners. The province still needs to expand access to digital services, especially locally.

Supporting business digital transformation

Small and medium-sized businesses often face limits in finance, staff and their ability to choose suitable technology. The provincial People's Committee has submitted a draft resolution on digital transformation support for these businesses.

The province is expanding digital payments, electronic invoices and online sales. Moving from isolated tools to coordinated digital transformation requires suitable technology, staff and investment.

Through the end of 2026, Tay Ninh will continue its digital economy and digital society plans, compile statistics, expand electronic payments and online sales, improve support for small and medium-sized businesses and strengthen digital skills. From 2026 to 2030, these measures will help track the digital economy's contribution and adjust programs in practice.
