Vietnam's Ministry of Construction has approved the investment policy for a project to build the Long Kim and Binh Nhut interchanges on National Highway 1 in Tay Ninh Province. The preliminary cost is VND1,087 billion.
The Long Kim interchange will be located at Km1932+650 in Ben Luc Commune and will be about 0.74 km long. The Binh Nhut interchange will be located at Km1935+050 in Binh Duc Commune and will be about 0.6 km long.
Long Kim will have an underpass with four motor-vehicle lanes and two lanes for non-motorized traffic. Binh Nhut will have a through viaduct with two motor-vehicle lanes and two lanes for non-motorized traffic. Both interchanges will include parallel roads.
The project is classified as Group B and will use public investment. About VND1,058 billion is expected to come from the central budget under the 2026–2030 medium-term public investment plan.
The Vietnam Road Administration has been assigned to prepare the project, complete the documents, prepare the feasibility study and submit it to the Ministry of Construction for an investment decision.
Project preparation is scheduled for 2026. Construction is expected to start in 2027, reach basic completion in 2029 and open to traffic in 2030.
The interchanges are intended to remove bottlenecks on National Highway 1, increase traffic capacity, reduce transport time and costs, and limit congestion and traffic accidents.
The Ministry of Construction requires the Vietnam Road Administration to coordinate with the Tay Ninh People's Committee and other agencies, control costs, keep the project within its preliminary budget and complete it on schedule.
