After more than 40 days of a campaign to clear land for the Tan An - Binh Hiep road project in Tay Ninh Province, authorities have paid more than VND 945 billion in compensation. The first section is scheduled to be handed over for construction on November 15.

On November 4, the Tay Ninh Project Management Board for Traffic Construction said that after roughly two thirds of the campaign period, more than VND 945 billion of the planned VND 1.075 trillion had been paid for land clearance for the Tan An - Binh Hiep road project. The campaign has 16 days left.

All nine communes and wards have completed surveys and handed over alignment markers. Eight of the nine localities have completed inventories and approved compensation and support plans. As of October 30, 1,168 cases in seven of the nine communes and wards had received payments. The total area covered by compensation payments was 305.06 hectares.

My An Commune leads progress, completing payments for all 136 cases and paying more than VND 154.6 billion for 19.3 hectares. Moc Hoa Commune has paid all eight households. Tan Tay has reached more than 90.97% of the area in the first payment phase. In Kien Tuong Ward, 15 of 61 households have not yet received payment.

Work is also being accelerated at four resettlement areas. The site in Kien Tuong Ward, which began construction on September 24, is about 10% leveled. The figure is about 62% in Thanh Hoa Commune and about 5% in Tan Tay. Construction of the resettlement area in Moc Hoa is scheduled to start on November 10.

The first section, from Km0+000 to Km4+220, is scheduled to be handed over for construction on November 15. It will be the first section to begin construction. To secure materials, the Tay Ninh People's Committee agreed to replace fill soil with sand. The estimated demand is about 400,000 cubic meters.

More than VND 3.8 trillion for land clearance on the Long An - Tan Ninh corridor

The Tay Ninh People's Committee has approved a project worth more than VND 3.8 trillion to clear land for a component of the Long An - Tan Ninh connecting corridor.

The Long An - Tan Ninh corridor has a total investment of about VND 20.746 trillion. Its main route will be more than 74 km long, running from the Tan An Ring Road in Tan An Ward to National Highway 22 in Ben Cau Commune. The project also includes a connecting road of about 2.38 km to National Highway 1. Most of the route will have six lanes, with a maximum design speed of 80 kph. Land will be cleared in one stage for a corridor about 62 meters wide.

The project consists of 10 component projects. It includes resettlement areas in Long An Ward and the communes of Thu Thua, Duc Hue, Dong Thanh and My Quy. Funding will come from central government support, the provincial budget and other lawful sources. Tay Ninh Province has asked the central government to allocate about VND 12.9 trillion for the project.

Under the plan, land clearance along the entire route will run from December 2026 to June 2027. The province aims to start one project component in December 2026. The project will be carried out from 2026 to 2031.
