On October 22, Tay Ninh province signed seven cooperation agreements with total registered capital exceeding $20 million at an investment conference in Tokyo.

The conference was organized by the Tay Ninh People's Committee, the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, and the Vietnam-Japan Association for Economic Cooperation Promotion.

Those attending included Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu, Tay Ninh People's Committee Chairman Le Van Hanh, and businesses and investors from both countries.

Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu said relations between Vietnam and Japan are at their best in history. He said this provides a basis for provinces and businesses in the two countries to expand cooperation.

Tay Ninh People's Committee Chairman Le Van Hanh called Japan an important, trusted and long-term partner. He said Tay Ninh connects Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta and Cambodia. The province's economy grew 10.3% in the first nine months of 2026, the highest rate in southern Vietnam.

Tay Ninh wants to attract Japanese investment in high-tech and supporting industries. Other areas include logistics, deep processing of agricultural products and the green transition.

According to Hong Le Minh Nguyet, deputy director of the Tay Ninh Department of Finance, Japan currently has 177 projects in the province with total registered capital exceeding $1.4 billion. Among more than 40 countries and territories investing in Tay Ninh, Japan ranks fourth by number of projects and fifth by investment capital. The province has 100 industrial parks and 108 industrial clusters covering more than 37,500 hectares. More than 1,400 hectares of cleared land are ready for new projects.

At the conference, the parties exchanged five memorandums of understanding covering investment, trade, agriculture and manufacturing projects. Cosmopark Industrial signed three memorandums, including one for a non-fired brick plant with ZEN. The project has planned capital of $5.6 million. A machining plant project with YAEI has capital starting at $5.6 million.

Earlier, at a seminar in Osaka, Cosmopark recorded two more cooperation arrangements. SEIWA plans to build a metal-processing plant with capital starting at $8.4 million. ASTEC will cooperate on wastewater treatment. These projects will be located in the Cosmopark Eco-Industrial Park in Duc Hue Commune.

Le Van Hanh referred to Japan's Sanpo Yoshi business philosophy, meaning "good for the seller, good for the buyer and good for society." He said a company's success is Tay Ninh province's success.
