Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training has asked universities to review compliance with tuition rules for the 2026–2027 academic year. Private universities may set tuition and prices for other education services themselves, except for services priced by the state, but they must disclose their calculations and be accountable to students and society. In later years, tuition increases must not exceed 15%.

According to figures published on university websites, most private universities kept their 2025 tuition rates, while some raised them by 6–8%, within the limits set by Decree No. 238/2025/ND-CP.
