Young people across the country welcomed the news that Vietnam's prime minister will hold a dialogue with young people on October 15. They hope the discussion will give them more opportunities to turn ideas into products, aspirations into action and contribute to the country's rapid and sustainable development.
The 2026 Prime Minister's Dialogue with Vietnam's Youth focuses on strengthening the role of young Vietnamese people in startups and innovation to promote growth and create jobs. The program has generated strong interest, especially among young startup founders.
Support for startups at every stage and help after failure
As a youth organization official, I understand that young people actively take part in volunteer movements and socio-economic development and have great potential to build startups, pursue innovation, apply science and technology and create new value for the country.
Experience working with youth organizations shows that many young people have ideas and want to start businesses, but many projects fail on their first attempt.
I propose that the government study a mechanism to support startups at every stage and help young people after failure. It would serve those who have tried or are trying to start a business but did not succeed the first time. Failure can cost young people money and confidence and make them reluctant to start again, even though they have gained practical experience. Support could include advice on restarting a business, management training, help finding work, access to capital and experts when a project meets the conditions. Youth organizations can assess the causes of failure and develop a plan for a new start.
I want failure to be a lesson rather than the end of young people's ambitions. With timely support, they should have a chance to recover, start again and continue contributing to society.

Building an integrated startup support ecosystem
I am pleased that the prime minister chose startups and innovation as the topic for the dialogue with young people. It gives the younger generation a chance to share their concerns and offer practical solutions for the country's development.
Startups and innovation interest many young people as digital transformation, artificial intelligence and the green economy bring major changes. Young people want to find jobs and build careers, turn ideas into products, create businesses and contribute value to society.
I have more than 16 years of experience in engineering and project management. I am now involved in an agricultural startup and see that Vietnamese young people have strong potential to apply technology, digital transformation and sustainable business models. Capital, technology, markets and product commercialization remain major barriers for many young companies.
I propose that the government build an integrated startup support ecosystem providing access to capital, technology transfer and markets, while strengthening links among the state, businesses, universities, research institutes and cooperatives. It should also create mechanisms to commission, test and scale innovative solutions in agriculture, the green economy and the circular economy.
Startups and innovation can help young people build careers, raise productivity and competitiveness and create new sources of growth. Innovation can start with practical solutions in agriculture, industry, services and everyday life.
The state and government should continue improving support for capital, technology, training and market access.
I hope these policies will work in practice and help young people turn ideas into products, create jobs and contribute to Vietnam's sustainable economic growth.

Developing the workforce among young people in rural areas
Amid digital transformation, advances in science and technology, innovation and international integration, young people are regarded as an important workforce and a leading force in socio-economic development.
Amid digital transformation, advances in science and technology, innovation and international integration, young people are regarded as an important workforce and a leading force in socio-economic development.
Some young people, especially in rural areas, still have difficulty accessing labor-market information, career guidance, skills training and suitable jobs. Artificial intelligence, automation and digital transformation are also creating new requirements for the young workforce.
What breakthrough policies and solutions will the government offer to guide, train and develop young people, especially in rural areas, so they can meet the needs of the labor market in the new period?

Supporting young companies during their first 3 to 5 years
As a young entrepreneur, I am pleased and grateful for the prime minister's attention to the younger generation. It encourages young people to turn ideas into action, create value for society and contribute to the country's development.
The first 3 to 5 years are very important for a startup: they determine whether it will grow or stop. Information about support funds and sources of capital is limited, and financing is difficult to obtain. Banks lack special policies for new companies, while interest rates provide little support. When a startup fails, dissolving or closing the company can also be difficult, requiring considerable money and time and increasing the fear of starting again.
New companies with limited resources are at a disadvantage, and their success rate is low. The mass closure of companies since the beginning of the year partly reflects these difficulties and unresolved problems.
I hope the government will provide practical support: access to capital, simpler legal procedures for young companies under five years old and links with large businesses, distribution systems and potential customers.
I propose a national program to support young companies during their first 3 to 5 years. It should help them register, find customers, create jobs and develop sustainably.
