The Police Investigation Agency of Gia Lai Province is investigating how P.H.H., a one-year-old girl from Dak Doa Commune, suffered severe injuries at a private childcare facility. The girl died after nearly a week of treatment.

On November 5, the Police Investigation Agency of Gia Lai Province said it was collecting evidence and working with the relevant parties to clarify the circumstances of the girl's death.

According to the family, at about 9 a.m. on October 27, the girl's mother, Phan Thi Vien, took her to a private childcare facility on Le Quy Don Street in Dak Doa Commune. About an hour later, a teacher called the family and asked them to pick up the child and take her to hospital.

At Gia Lai Province's Women's and Children's Hospital, doctors diagnosed the girl with a coma and a brain hemorrhage. Her condition did not improve during treatment: the blood in her brain did not clear, and her brain was compressed. The girl died on the evening of November 4.

After the incident, the girl's relatives went to the facility to ask the teachers what had happened. The teachers said the child had fallen from a hammock onto the floor. The family did not accept that explanation.

The family said the distance from the hammock to the floor was only about 15 centimeters, making it difficult for them to believe that the fall could have caused such serious injuries.

Investigators are collecting evidence to determine the exact cause of the girl's injuries and death, as well as the responsibility of the people involved.
