Ho Chi Minh City police said on November 3 that they had received 22 more Vietnamese citizens deported from the United States.

This was the seventh group received this year. The process followed the law and requirements related to external relations, security, safety, and the citizens' lawful rights and interests.

According to the Immigration Management Division of Ho Chi Minh City Police, most of the citizens had lived in Ho Chi Minh City before leaving Vietnam. While in the United States, they violated local law and no longer met the conditions for lawful residence. The US then deported them and handed them over to the Vietnamese side.

After returning, many faced difficulties, including a lack of identity documents, lost contact with relatives, no stable place to live, problems finding work and reintegrating into society, and psychological pressure.

Ho Chi Minh City police reviewed each person's circumstances to provide appropriate assistance.

Police urged people travelling abroad to study, work, travel, or settle to learn about and strictly follow the laws of Vietnam and the country where they stay.

They also urged citizens not to take part in illegal border crossings, illegal residence or work, or the use of forged documents, and not to assist groups that illegally take people abroad.
