The Thanh âm Việt Nam - The Sound of Vietnam final on October 3 selected Em Tiên, produced by the S.HUBE team, as Vietnam's entry for Eurovision Song Contest Asia 2026. The winner was chosen by the jury, Vietnamese viewers and international viewers, whose votes counted for 40%, 40% and 20%.

Tóc Tiên performed five new songs in the final, each created by a different production team. Every performance was limited to three minutes and no more than six people on stage, requiring quick changes in singing, choreography and staging.

The singer and her team rehearsed five separate productions in about two weeks. For the four songs with choreography, Tóc Tiên had four rehearsals to complete the movements and formations.

The performances moved between several styles. Love always wins used a classic Broadway setting with a red stage and a live band. Follow me used a rotating stage and a large group of dancers. Em Tiên combined Vietnamese folk material with electronic music and visuals inspired by clouds, birds, the moon, lotus flowers and traditional art. Khó used movements and costumes inspired by Vovinam. The final song, a to A, had no dancers and focused on the singer's voice, expression and body language.

The team said the next step was to adapt Em Tiên for the international stage while keeping its Vietnamese cultural elements. The contest is scheduled for November 14 in Bangkok, Thailand, with representatives from nine countries: Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Bhutan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Nepal, Laos and Bangladesh.

Eurovision Song Contest is an annual international television music competition organized by the European Broadcasting Union since 1956. The 2026 event is scheduled to be the first Asian edition.
