The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said weather conditions will change across Vietnam on November 2. Northern areas face a risk of localized heavy rain.
Bắc Bộ will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with common rainfall totals of 10–30mm. Some parts of Tây Bắc and Việt Bắc may receive more than 80mm. Tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong wind gusts are possible during thunderstorms.
Localized heavy rain may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying places. Tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong winds may bring down trees, damage homes and transport infrastructure, and disrupt agricultural work.
Hanoi will be mostly cloudy on November 2, with scattered showers and thunderstorms and some areas seeing heavy rain. Rain in the north is expected to ease from November 3, with occasional showers, early morning fog in some places and sunshine in the afternoon.
From around the night of November 5 through November 9, northern Vietnam may again see scattered showers and thunderstorms, with locally heavy rain.
From Thanh Hóa to Hà Tĩnh, rain, showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible from around November 8 to 11, with locally very heavy rain. The area from Quảng Trị to Đà Nẵng and eastern parts of the provinces from Quảng Ngãi to Đắk Lắk and Khánh Hòa are expected to have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the coming days. Very heavy rain may occur there from around November 9.

Cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some places at night and scattered showers and thunderstorms during the day, locally heavy. Southeast winds at levels 2–3. Tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong wind gusts are possible during thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 22–25°C, locally below 21°C in mountainous areas, at night to 28–31°C during the day.
Thanh Hóa to Huế
Cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some places. Scattered rain, showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected from the evening of November 2. Light winds. Tornadoes, lightning and strong wind gusts are possible during thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 22–25°C at night to 29–32°C during the day.
South Central Coast
Cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some places. Scattered rain, showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected from the evening of November 2. Light winds. Tornadoes, lightning and strong wind gusts are possible during thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 23–26°C at night to 31–34°C during the day.
Central Highlands
Cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some places. Lâm Đồng will have scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Northeast winds at levels 2–3. Tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong wind gusts are possible during thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 18–21°C at night to 28–31°C during the day.
Southern region
Cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some places. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and evening. Northeast to easterly winds at levels 2–3. Tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong wind gusts are possible during thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from 23–26°C at night to 31–34°C during the day.
Ho Chi Minh City
Cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms in some places. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and evening. Northeast to easterly winds at levels 2–3.
