Oji has begun building an aseptic carton packaging factory under its Oji Liquid Pak brand. The 110 million USD project is in Long Thanh High-Tech Park, Dong Nai.
The investment reinforces Vietnam’s role as Oji’s strategic manufacturing and supply hub in Southeast Asia and supports circular packaging.
Dong Nai authorities said the project would support local industry, domestic production and Vietnamese participation in regional supply chains.
The authorities pledged support and coordination so projects can comply with regulations and begin operations soon.
Oji Liquid Pak said manufacturing is moving towards standards combining recyclable materials, efficiency and food safety.
The factory will produce food packaging and provide research, technical services, and installation and maintenance of Japanese equipment.
Japanese investment also covers natural-science research, machinery repair, equipment installation, and trade under Vietnamese law.
Ho Chi Minh City authorities are helping investors start projects sooner and reduce planning and construction procedures.
Authorities are shifting from administrative procedures to monitoring projects from preparation through operation.
Politburo Resolution No. 10-NQ/TW, dated June 8, 2026, shifts investment policy from quantity to quality, prioritising technology, innovation, workforce development and technology transfer.
