On October 27, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center announced a program of cultural, arts and festival events for the year-end travel season.
The main event will be the Hoi An International Lantern Festival, themed “Hoi An, Colors of Heritage.” It will run from December 3 to 6 at the Hoai River Square, An Hoi Sculpture Garden and streets in the ancient town.
Visitors will be able to explore a lantern art space, try making lanterns, join creative exchanges, sample food and watch arts performances.
From November 20 to December 5, Hoi An Ward will hold events marking Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day. The program will include an exhibition of photographs and materials about Hoi An World Cultural Heritage and the themed exhibition “Space of the Past.”
The period will also include the opening of the restored Hoi An Prison historical site, the 27th anniversary of Hoi An ancient town being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site, and the 40th anniversary of the heritage conservation organization.
The 2026 Week of Culture and National Unity, themed “Cultural Essence, the Strength of Unity,” will be held at city level for the first time from November 18 to 24.
Events will take place at Tien Son Sports Palace, Hoi An, My Son and Khâm Đức, as well as museums, squares and public spaces. The program will introduce folk singing and dancing, musical instruments, traditional clothing, food, folk games and traditional crafts.

At the My Son sanctuary, the arts program “Echoes of My Son” will be held regularly on November 15 and December 15. It will recreate traditional dances, folk songs and rituals of the Cham people.
From December 30, a series of events to welcome the New Year will take place on Bach Dang walking street, around Dragon Bridge and at several locations in Hoi An, Hoi An Dong, Quang Phu, Ban Thach, Tam Ky and Huong Tra wards.
The program will continue with Da Nang Concert, a large-scale music night planned for January 1, 2027, at the Da Nang Museum. It will open the new year with a lineup of well-known singers and artists.
A representative of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center said the series would broaden the tourism offering, promote culture and heritage, and give residents and visitors more options for sightseeing and entertainment in Da Nang at the end of the year.
More flights planned for the year-end season
A representative of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center said the city expects 12,200 flights and about 2.1 million visitors in the fourth quarter of 2026. Da Nang plans to open or restore international routes to Singapore, Bangkok, Osaka and Jakarta, along with more charter flights.
Airlines and tourism companies are also offering year-end travel promotions. Sun PhuQuoc Airways, for example, is offering a 30% discount on Da Nang to Phu Quoc tickets. The booking period runs from October 15 to November 1, and the travel period ends on November 10.
According to the Central Region Hydro-Meteorological Station, Da Nang will be relatively cool through the end of November. Many days are expected to have little rain, with clouds decreasing and light sunshine in the afternoon. Some cold air outbreaks may bring rain, lower temperatures and strong winds.
