At the 2026 Ho Chi Minh City Investment Cooperation Forum, the city presented 15 projects to domestic and foreign companies. One of them was Sài Gòn Safari Park in An Nhon Tay Commune, notable for its 456.85-hectare scale and a delay lasting more than 20 years.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Trade and Investment Promotion Centre (ITPC), the 15 projects cover six areas: high technology; industry and the environment; healthcare; culture and sports; urban development; and trade, services, hotels and tourism. Sài Gòn Safari is defined as an ecotourism park in An Nhon Tay Commune, part of the Cu Chi historical and cultural tourism cluster, about 50 kilometres from central Ho Chi Minh City.

The 2026–2030 investment attraction list gives Sài Gòn Safari a total area of 456.85 hectares. Of this, 440.21 hectares fall within the park and 16.64 hectares lie outside it. The project is planned as an ecotourism park combining conservation, research and breeding of rare animals with recreation and resort facilities. Expected investment is about $500 million.

Project procedures began in 2004, but the project has still not taken shape after more than 20 years. Several investment proposals were put forward during that period, but the project did not proceed as planned.

The 2026–2030 investment list describes the site as vacant land where compensation and land recovery have been carried out. More than 20 years after the procedures began, Sài Gòn Safari has again been included in the list of projects seeking investors.

The new list also includes large technology, environmental and healthcare projects. At Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park, the city is seeking investment for a biotechnology research, training and incubation centre on the 0.9-hectare E2b-2 site, with expected capital of VND279 billion, and an electronic components and semiconductor chip factory on the 2.53-hectare I-1B-2 site, with expected capital of VND1,397 billion.

In the environmental sector, Ho Chi Minh City is inviting investment in three large wastewater collection and treatment projects. The second phase of the Tham Luong–Ben Cat wastewater collection system and treatment plant has a target capacity of 230,000 cubic metres per day by 2040 and 270,000 cubic metres per day by 2060. The collection system and treatment plant for the city’s northwest area, in Tan An Hoi Commune, will cover 19 hectares and is expected to handle 280,000 cubic metres per day by 2040 and 380,000 cubic metres per day by 2060.

In healthcare, the city is looking for investors for projects serving older people. One is a nursing and elderly care facility in Ho Tram, covering 10.26 hectares with expected investment of VND844 billion. Another is a specialised medical complex in Binh Dong Ward, valued at about VND6 trillion. It will include two specialised hospitals linked to scientific research, technology transfer, training and a nursing home.
