Cường said the ceremony was an opportunity to look back on the federation’s 70-year history, honour the dedication of former members and reaffirm trust in young people as they work to build the city and the country.

The federation honoured 71 outstanding youth leaders for the 2021-2026 period. They were recognised for contributions to the federation’s work and youth movements, including promoting positive lifestyles, responsibility and dedication to the community.

The federation’s Secretariat also gave 70 gifts to disadvantaged young people. Each gift included items worth VNĐ500,000 and VNĐ1 million in cash. The support came from the Social Welfare Fund of the Việt Nam Fatherland Front Committee in HCM City.

The ceremony also launched the HCM City High Tide Response Digital Map. The platform provides information about flooded spots and areas at risk of flooding, helping residents prepare for high tides.

After the official ceremony, the HCM City Youth Concert 2026 was held jointly with Unimedia Vietnam JSC and T Production Co., Ltd.
