A Hanoi job fair for the construction, mechanical and transport sectors will take place on October 31. It will bring together 30 to 50 companies, contractors and production and business organizations.

The Hanoi Department of Home Affairs plans to hold the sector-focused job fair to help supply workers for public investment projects, transport infrastructure and other major works in the capital.

The fair will also expand access to stable jobs. It will give particular support to people who have lost their jobs, unemployment-benefit recipients, discharged military and police personnel, people whose land has been recovered, people with disabilities, people who have completed prison sentences and people returning to the community after treatment for addiction.

The event is intended to strengthen the link between vocational training and the actual labor needs of companies building technical infrastructure.

Employers will take part in person and online. They will offer 8,000 positions for people with different levels of training, with a share reserved for older workers and people from disadvantaged groups.

Organizers expect 500 to 1,000 people to attend in person. Participants will receive advice on jobs, career orientation, labor policies and labor law.

In addition, 10 to 15 universities, colleges, vocational schools and centers for vocational and continuing education will set up booths and provide admissions advice.

The specialized job fair for the construction, mechanical and transport sectors is scheduled for 8 a.m. on October 31, 2026, at the Hanoi Intermediate School of Public Transport.
