Hanoi approved an additional list of 580 projects requiring land acquisition, including the redevelopment of Vinh Hung on more than 206 hectares and the construction of a Ba Vi safari park on 299.51 hectares.

At a recent special session, the Hanoi People's Council passed a resolution adding 580 works and projects to the list of land acquisitions for socio-economic development projects serving national and public interests. Together, the projects cover nearly 10,660 hectares.

The People's Council also adjusted seven projects approved in earlier resolutions, reducing their total land acquisition area by more than 307 hectares.

The new list includes two large projects: the renovation, upgrading and redevelopment of the Vinh Hung urban area in Vinh Hung Ward, and the construction of a Ba Vi safari park in Ba Vi Commune.

The Vinh Hung redevelopment project will acquire more than 206 hectares of its total 447-hectare area. The registered project organization is Sun Group Investment Company Limited.

The Ba Vi safari park project will acquire 299.51 hectares. The Ba Vi Commune People's Committee is listed as the registering body.

Vinh Hung redevelopment project

On August 28, the Hanoi People's Committee approved the investment policy and investor for the Vinh Hung urban renovation, upgrading and redevelopment project.

The project is being studied across about 447 hectares. It is intended to follow transit-oriented development and the 15-minute city models. The city expects it to improve the area's environment and transport infrastructure and raise residents' quality of life.

On October 9, the city approved the investment policy and investor for the Ba Vi safari park project, Sun Group Real Estate Corporation, which belongs to Sun Group.

The Ba Vi safari park is designed in a tropical style. Its main facilities will include animal keeping and care areas that imitate natural habitats, a clinic, research and education facilities, exhibition spaces and community education activities. Green areas will account for up to 81.8% of the total site, while water bodies will act as ecological corridors and provide habitats for animals.

Hanoi expects the safari park, once completed, to become a large-scale destination offering a semi-wild nature experience, support tourism development west of the capital, raise public awareness of nature conservation and build a tourism ecosystem linked to sustainable development.
