On October 24, Hanoi traffic police said projects involving transport infrastructure, urban rail, drainage and wastewater treatment were continuing across the city and affecting traffic, especially on busy roads.

11 major projects and 62 barrier locations

Figures compiled by Hanoi's Department of Construction on October 22 showed 11 major projects with 62 locations fenced off for construction. In eastern Hanoi, the Co Linh underpass project has six locations on Dam Quang Trung and Co Linh streets, while the National Highway 5 overpass repair project has four.

The Tran Hung Dao Bridge project has two locations. The Tu Lien Bridge project affects Au Co Street from No. 17 to the Au Co–Nghi Tam intersection and Truong Sa Street near Ngu Huyen Khe Bridge. Barriers at Tu Lien sites are scheduled until April 30, 2027.

Construction on the route linking the Phap Van–Cau Gie expressway with Ring Road No. 3 affects Do Muoi Street and an elevated-road section. Urban railway works affect Kim Ma, Cat Linh, Tran Hung Dao and Van Cao streets and Thang Long Boulevard. The Nhon–Hanoi Station project has sites near Lieu Giai, Nui Truc–Kim Ma, Giang Vo and Tran Hung Dao.

Near Thang Long Bridge, two lanes toward Dong Anh are planned to be fenced for about 150 metres while truck-load monitoring equipment is installed. Two-way traffic will use the remaining three lanes.

Traffic police advice

Police advise people to check traffic arrangements, consider alternative routes, change departure times and allow extra travel time. Drivers should slow down, keep a safe distance, obey signs, lights, road markings and officers' instructions, and must not enter fenced areas, drive against traffic or change direction abruptly.
