In recent days, social media pages have carried a listing offering 36,000 tonnes of steel rolls at Formosa Ha Tinh.
On October 4, Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation said the information was completely false. The company has never offered the assets for sale and has not authorised any organisation or individual to broker or carry out such a transaction.
Formosa Ha Tinh said the post was fake information that could lead to fraud against people and businesses. It will work with authorities to verify and handle violations.
The company warned organisations and individuals not to trust the listing, make a deal or transfer a deposit based on social media posts. Information about its assets and business activities is valid only when published through the company’s official channels.
