The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee approved the specific land price, the value of buildings and the allocated infrastructure value for five lots in the Thu Thiem new urban area, in An Khanh Ward. The total value of the five lots as of October exceeded VND 18.253 trillion.

The approved lots are 1.K7.9.HH, formerly R1; 1.K7.5.HH, formerly R2; 1.K7.6.HH, formerly R3; 1.K7.8.HH, formerly R4; and 1.K7.7.HH, formerly R5.

The land-use rights were valued at more than VND 11.316 trillion, buildings on the land at more than VND 6.360 trillion, and the allocated infrastructure value at nearly VND 577 billion. The land-use rights value was calculated for 78,822.7 square metres of land for high-rise mixed apartment buildings, based on the approved planning and architectural indicators.

The five lots contain a total of 3,790 apartments. The value of the buildings on the land was set at more than VND 6.360 trillion.

Earlier, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee issued a plan to auction the lots in the Thu Thiem new urban area. The city chairman also approved a plan to auction land-use rights, buildings and other land-attached assets created with state budget funds on the five lots.

Under the new decision, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the city's Land Fund Development Centre and other relevant agencies are responsible for carrying out the auction procedures in accordance with the law.

Relevant departments and agencies will guide the auction winner in fulfilling its financial obligations. If an authorised agency later allows changes to the planning or land-use purpose that create additional financial obligations, the auction winner must fully pay those amounts.
