A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam led by Nguyen Thanh Nghi is paying a working visit to China from November 1 to 5.
Nghi met Chinese leaders and discussed the development of relations between the two countries.
The two sides agreed to strengthen political trust, trade, railway links, investment, science, technology, education, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.
Nghi proposed improving access for Vietnamese goods to the Chinese market. China said it was ready to increase imports of Vietnamese agricultural products.
The delegation is scheduled to visit Zhejiang province.
