The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Cao Bang province launched 160 tourism stimulus packages on October 7. They cover six areas: accommodation; restaurants; eco-tourism and camping experiences; local agricultural products and specialties; travel agencies, tourist sites and attractions; and transport services.

The programme involves 110 businesses, organisations and individuals operating in the province. The promotional packages are available from October 1 to December 31 under the message “Easy travel – Complete experiences.”

Information about the packages has been published with QR codes, and a search system is available on the tourism portal caobangtourism.com.vn. The platform updates information on services, weather and traffic routes three times a day.

Cao Bang is also introducing a new version of its Code of Conduct for civilised tourism. It uses a Vietnamese-English bilingual design with watercolour illustrations and includes rules for protecting the UNESCO Global Geopark heritage.

At the conference announcing the 2026 tourism packages, To Vu Ninh, director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the province has the Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark, scenic landscapes and historical and cultural sites.

He said the local tourism sector needs to turn these resources into products and cultural identity into visitor experiences, while ensuring that local residents take part in and benefit directly from tourism development.

Cao Bang has raised its tourism target for this year from 2.8 million to 3.1 million arrivals. The province expects 220,000 international overnight visitors and is targeting 7.62% growth in accommodation and food services.

Representatives of participating businesses signed commitments to implement the registered tourism packages.

The event also launched a tourism promotion video contest called “Non Nuoc Cao Bang” for Vietnamese citizens and foreigners. Entries can show the province’s natural and heritage landscapes, historical and cultural sites, the daily life and customs of ethnic communities, and local cuisine. Submissions are open until October 31, 2026.
