BIGBANG, whose lineup includes G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung, performed at Hanoi's My Dinh National Stadium on October 24 and 25. Organizers estimated that about 90,000 people attended the two Vietnam shows of the BIGBANG 2026-2027 World Tour <XX : Cosmos>.
Videos of the performances spread on social media, showing tens of thousands of people singing along. Fans were still looking for tickets before the shows, while some tickets were offered above their listed prices. Resale prices do not fully reflect actual transactions, but demand remained high close to showtime.

Fans from neighboring countries and territories also traveled to Hanoi. Naver reported that demand around the concerts affected hotel demand and airfares on some routes to the city.
A group that shaped modern K-pop
BIGBANG debuted in 2006 with five members and built its own style by combining hip-hop, R&B and electronic pop. Fantastic Baby, Haru Haru, Lies, Bad Boy and Bang Bang Bang became well-known K-pop hits.
G-Dragon is known as the group's leader, rapper, producer and fashion icon. Taeyang is known for his R&B, emotional vocals and dancing. Daesung has made an impression with his strong voice, energetic performances and humor. Their differences give BIGBANG both a group identity and separate appeal for each artist.

The San Francisco Chronicle highlighted BIGBANG's role in developing a K-pop group model that combines collective strength with individual musical identities. The Korea Times recently referred to the group as the "kings of K-pop".
Songs shared by several generations
BIGBANG debuted nearly 20 years ago, so some fans have followed the group from adolescence into adulthood. In Hanoi, familiar songs connected the stage and the audience. Songs such as Haru Haru, Bang Bang Bang and Fantastic Baby have continued to be listened to, shared and performed years after their release.
The scale of the world tour
The BIGBANG 2026-2027 World Tour marked the group's return to a world tour after about nine years. According to YG Entertainment's August 10 statement, the initial plan included 33 shows in 19 cities through February 2027. Before Hanoi, the group performed in South Korea, the United States, France, the United Kingdom, Taiwan and Singapore.
Three shows at Taipei Dome on October 9, 10 and 11 drew about 120,000 people in total, CNA reported. The production uses moving LED screens, about 20 dancers, fireworks and other stage effects. Solo performances allow each member to show a separate musical style.
International concerts in Vietnam
In 2023, two Blackpink concerts in Hanoi sold 67,443 tickets, filled the venue to 100% and generated about $13.66 million in ticket revenue, according to Touring Data. In November 2025, two G-Dragon concerts in Hanoi attracted about 100,000 people.
Events like these increase demand for hotels, transport, food and other services for fans. BIGBANG's appeal also comes from its music, the individual identities of its members and a connection with its audience built over many years.
