On the evening of October 31, the Ba Vi Commune People's Committee said the location and boundary plan for the Ba Vi safari park had been issued with Decision No. 5648 of the Hanoi People's Committee.

The Ba Vi Commune General Services Centre was assigned to post the boundary plan on the local authorities' electronic information portal and Facebook page. The publication is intended to inform residents, especially households whose land lies within the project area.

Ba Vi authorities said reports on some unofficial websites that the project had been expanded to 580 hectares were inaccurate.

On September 10, the Hanoi People's Committee approved the investment policy and named Sun Group Real Estate Joint Stock Company as the project investor. The preliminary investment amount is about VND 6.5 trillion.

The project is planned as a wildlife park combined with ecotourism, exhibitions and the conservation of animal species found in Vietnam and elsewhere. It is intended to include visits, leisure and entertainment, scientific research, environmental education and biodiversity conservation.

Of the nearly 300-hectare site, green space and water areas will account for about 244.9 hectares, or approximately 81.8%. Commercial services will cover 10.43 hectares, tourism and service facilities 16.11 hectares, and about 28.08 hectares will be used for technical infrastructure, roads and parking.

The maximum construction area will be about 260,000 square metres, with a maximum total floor area of 454,000 square metres. Buildings will range from one to five storeys. The maximum building density will range from 5% to 60%, depending on the functional zone.

The exact investment amount will be determined during preparation, appraisal and approval of the investment project. The project will operate for 50 years from the date the investor receives the land, leases it or receives permission to change its land-use purpose.

At a meeting on October 28, the Hanoi People's Council approved a resolution adding 580 works and projects to the list of land-recovery projects for socio-economic development in the national and public interest. The Ba Vi safari park was included in the list. The project is registered for the recovery of 299.51 hectares, with Ba Vi Commune as the registering authority.
