Vietnam visa run: what it is and how to do one

A visa run means leaving Vietnam and returning with a new basis for entry. Sparta organizes trips to Laos and Cambodia. Its Laos options cost 3.25 million VND with a 90-day e-visa or 1.35 million VND with a 45/30-day entry stamp. Both prices include return transport and assistance throughout the trip.

What is a visa run and how does it work?

A visa run is a trip outside Vietnam followed by a new entry. Leaving the country does not extend your current visa. You need a new document or a visa-free arrangement that applies to your passport.

Sparta organizes trips through Laos and Cambodia. The prices below are for its two Laos options. Ask the manager separately for the price and terms of a Cambodia trip.

Sparta advertises a 100% guarantee of visa approval and entry to Vietnam. Before paying, ask the manager what the guarantee covers and what happens if entry is refused. The 45- or 30-day period depends on the entry basis and applicable rules.

These are Sparta prices provided for this guide on 8 October 2026. They cover the trip and assistance, not the government fee paid through Vietnam’s official e-visa portal.

At the border, complete the required procedures and receive the relevant stamps. The Sparta team accompanies you and helps at every stage.

After crossing the border, return to the bus. It waits at the checkpoint and then takes you back to Nha Trang.

Urgent trip in a private SUV

If your permitted stay is about to expire, Sparta offers an urgent trip in a private premium SUV with a driver. The service says it can arrange a departure as little as 12 hours before the end of your stay, escort you to the border and arrange expedited e-visa processing in one hour.

For an urgent trip, message the manager with your city, the time your permitted stay ends and your passport details. The manager will confirm whether a car is available and the processing time.
