Passport applications are handled by the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Da Nang at 22 Trần Phú, Thạch Thang, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng. A prior appointment is required for ordinary consular matters.

How to book an appointment

1. Open the official Da Nang consular appointment queue.
2. Choose the passport service and enter the applicant’s details exactly as shown in the identity documents.
3. Confirm the email address using the system’s message and save the appointment confirmation.
4. If no dates are available, use the official waiting list and follow the queue’s instructions.

The appointment and waiting list are free. Queue rules may require you to confirm that your request is still active or respond to an offered time slot. Do not create duplicate requests for the same service. The consulate does not promise a specific wait for an appointment.

Five-year or ten-year passport

Russian citizens abroad can choose either type. Under Russian law, a second valid passport can be issued as a 10-year biometric passport. Check the consulate’s current instructions for the required printouts and supporting documents.

Documents to prepare

Complete the application on the official portal for the passport type you selected. The final checklist depends on your circumstances, so use the Da Nang consulate’s current instructions before booking.

• Completed application for the selected passport type.
• Russian internal passport, if available, and any current foreign passport.
• Documents confirming a change of name, if applicable.
• The child’s and legal representative’s documents for a minor’s application.
• A loss report or other details required by the consulate if the previous passport was lost.
• Printed forms and copies in the quantity specified by the latest local instructions.

If both Russian passports are expired or lost, the consulate may need to verify your Russian citizenship before accepting a passport application. Ask about this first. An emergency certificate for travel to Russia is a separate process.

Fees and processing time

Pay the consular fee according to the consulate’s current instructions, after your documents have been reviewed. Local payment methods and VND amounts can change, so do not rely on old figures or pay in advance without official instructions.

The official processing period is up to three months after the complete and properly prepared application is submitted. Time spent waiting for an appointment does not count toward this period.

Checking and collecting your passport

The Russian Foreign Ministry provides an online status check for biometric passports. The Da Nang consulate lists document collection on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 14:00 to 17:00. Check its current page to see whether a separate collection appointment is required.
