Visa-free entry for Kazakhstan citizens
Under the current bilateral agreement, citizens of Kazakhstan holding ordinary passports may enter Vietnam without a visa for up to 30 days. Vietnam's official Ministry of Foreign Affairs list also states an overall limit of no more than 90 days of stay within a 180-day period.
When to apply for an e-Visa
If 30 days is not enough, or you want a clearly defined stay of up to 90 days, use the e-Visa system. If your itinerary includes trips to neighbouring countries, check whether a multiple-entry e-Visa is more suitable so you do not need a new entry basis for every return.
Before departure
- Check passport validity and passenger details on the ticket.
- Count the actual calendar days of the trip.
- If using an e-Visa, verify the name, passport number, and validity dates.
- For an unusual land-border route, verify that the checkpoint accepts e-Visa travellers.
- Keep documents available offline.
